Artist's Description

We were on our morning walk at Agnes Andreae Nature Preserve just east of Indian River, Michigan. The Preserve borders the Pigeon River and gives some of the prettiest views in Michigan's lower peninsula. In this instance, we had had some fresh snow flurries overnight.

The Pigeon River is located in the north-central part of the southern peninsula of Michigan. Its headwaters are located a few miles northeast of Gaylord. The river then flows in a northerly direction to its mouth at Mullet Lake, a distance of 42 miles.
